We are pleased to announce the release of erasmus version 1.3. This version has several program fixes and improvements, and minor corrections to some reference works. A few reference works have had missing images, prefatory material, and tables added, such as Smith’s Bible Dictionary. Further, the Hymnal and “Reflections in the Redwoods” devotional have been expanded. In addition, the 1 Gb edition has two new reference works: the Tyndale Bible, and Adam Clarke’s Commentary.
The Tyndale Bible is the first Bible translation into modern English (1536). Derivatives of this work were widely used until supplanted by the King James Version in 1611.
Adam Clarke spent some 40 years writing his commentary, finishing it shortly before his death in 1862. It was published as 6 volumes (about 6,000 pages, total), and is still widely used today. erasmus has the entirety of this in a single reference work, making it the largest single work in the program to date.
